What is advanced engineer grade reflective disabled signs? These signs are .080 inch thick flat aluminum with 3M's new advanced engineer grade prismatic sheeting applied over the surface, the lettering and background is reflective. Advanced engineer grade offers superior daytime and nighttime brightness compared to standard EG with beaded optics. Signs will never rust and normally have an average life span of 7 years. High quality materials result in longer lasting signs and excellent resistance to fading. Beware of any brands thinner then .080", (.040 or .063) can be easily bent by vandals. Meets ASTM D4956 type I specification.
Additional Information Comes with standard mounting holes centered top and bottom for easy installations. They accept 5/16" bolts and nuts and a standard length to use is 2 1/2" which may be purchased in our hardware section. Typically installed on U-channel or square posts which may be purchased in our post section. Please refer to the MUTCD which gives examples of how high the handicapped signs should be.
